As groups are social things, I have a couple of GROUND RULES if you pick groups. 1. Don't pick characters that wouldn't work with a group or wouldn't work with other people at all without SUPER SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES unless you have already ARRANGED AND ENACT THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES FROM DAY ONE. Get a leash on your villain or hot mess. It's not your group's job to rehab them/put them down. You gotta be willing to bend to work with other people if you want to play with other people. There'll be enough outside strife, I promise. If you DO want to play those characters to just burn it down, we can do it solo.
2. If you want to do some NPCing that is super important to the story, I am down with that, but I have the absolute right to pick up that character at any point to keep something moving along in the case you can't tag for a while or during a real important event. RIGHT UP FRONT, THAT'S THE DEAL.
3. Don't strive to break the setting. Problems should not have easy, magical answers. Half the fun is the struggle and no one wants to SKIP the struggle. The spotlight will come, don't worry. Taking it at the moment of introduction of a problem is cheap.
4. Don't strive to break the group. See also, rule 1. It's worth repeating. I MAY DO A ROGUES RUN LATER, but right now, none of the scenarios are built for inside antagonism.
5. No sex threads. Just take em off journal or put them in your own. Similarly: Themes of rape, sexual violence, non consent, dubious consent and all sort of other in line things I'd rather not do or deal with. Please don't.
6. If any action tag ever says any variant of [My character looks at/senses/examines everything in the room] I will drop them into a pit of piranhas no matter if it makes any narrative sense or not.
